BRITISH COLUMBIA
Just a little ways up the coast from this outfitter there’s an invisible line dividing Grizzlies from Brown Bears. Why does this matter to the trophy hunter? Well, their bears are as big as Brown Bears, but still biologically classified as Grizzlies. This means they have huge Grizzlies! In fact, your chances of taking a Boone and Crocket Grizzly in our this are better than your chances of not taking one. The average mature boar in this area squares over 9 feet, while 10 ½ footers are available. Skull sizes range from 23 to 26 inches. This hunt is 10 days fully guided.
Spring Grizzly
During the spring hunts, bears are emerging from hibernation in sub-alpine terrain. These bears have beautiful coats of fur, still fresh from winter. These hunts are 14 days and include a 2 Black Bears and a wolf.
Fall Grizzly
The fall hunts produce the largest bears, as they have been gorging on salmon. Bears are hunted while they feed up and down the streams and rivers that riddle the area. This hunt is fourteen days and includes a wolf, 2 Black Bears and a Moose. Hence, it has aptly been named, The Grizzly Safari.
