There is something about sitting on a ridgetop glassing acrossed the tundra looking for the faint glow of hair reflecting off of a bears hide and, once found, contemplating how you are going to move within range of this giant predator. Brown bear hunting in alaska is an incredible experience. These bears range from 7.5 ft to 9+ ft and this is offered in the spring and fall. Whether you are snowmobiling, floating the river or hunting out of a spike camp accessed by supercub, it is an adventure of a lifetime with high success rates.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Just a little ways up the coast from this outfitter there’s an invisible line dividing Grizzlies from Brown Bears. Why does this matter to the trophy hunter? Well, their bears are as big as Brown Bears, but still biologically classified as Grizzlies. This means they have huge Grizzlies! In fact, your chances of taking a Boone and Crocket Grizzly in our this are better than your chances of not taking one. The average mature boar in this area squares over 9 feet, while 10 ½ footers are available. Skull sizes range from 23 to 26 inches. This hunt is 10 days fully guided.

Spring Grizzly

During the spring hunts, bears are emerging from hibernation in sub-alpine terrain. These bears have beautiful coats of fur, still fresh from winter. These hunts are 14 days and include a 2 Black Bears and a wolf.

Fall Grizzly

The fall hunts produce the largest bears, as they have been gorging on salmon. Bears are hunted while they feed up and down the streams and rivers that riddle the area. This hunt is fourteen days and includes a wolf, 2 Black Bears and a Moose. Hence, it has aptly been named, The Grizzly Safari.
